Today Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin met Lodz Voivode Iolanta Helminska who leads the official delegation to Kazan. They have discussed prospects of cooperation between the two regions in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.
During the meeting, the parties stated that the Republic of Tatarstan and Lodz province have much in common. First of all, each region is a “locomotive” of industrial development in its country. The Lodz province is an old partner of our republic. Trade and economic cooperation between the regions dates back to 1990s.
“I am glad to welcome such a representative delegation in our parliament,” Farid Mukhametshin said. In his words, lately the cooperation between the Russian Federation, including the republic of Tatarstan, and Poland have become more active. “This refers to trade turnover, economic cooperation, contacts in cultural and scientific spheres.”
