March, 25. Speaker Farid Mukhametshin met with Chairperson of the Turkmenistan Mejlis (Parliament) Akdzha Nurberdyeva.
Ms. Nurberdyeva arrived at Kazan to participate in the Inauguration Ceremony of of new Tatarstan President Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the Turkmenistan delegation visit to Kazan, she had a meeting with her colleagues from the Tatarstan Parliament.
At the meeting speakers discussed opportunities of developing relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan, agreed on strengthening direct inter-parliamentary ties.
“These agreements are very important for us with a view to share experience on promoting social and economic development despite the global economic turmoil”, – added Mr. Farid Mukhametshin.
