Today, on December 10, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kaliningrad Regional Duma signed an agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation. This document has become the first milestone in the process of establishing horizontal ties between the two parliaments.
“The agreement will help to reinforce the socio-political stability in our region, expansion of trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation in the development and introduction of legislative initiatives. All this is especially important in a trime of difficult political situation in the World, "Tatarstan Parliament Speaker Farid Mukhametshin said.
During the three-day visit to Kazan, Kaliningrad Regional Duma delegation visited a number of cultural, historical, educational and sports facilities.
Farid Mukhametshin noted the importance of the agreement adding that it implies great responsibility on both sides. The parliaments of two regions will develop interaction at the level of committees in various fields. Special attention will be paid to work on joint legislative initiatives.
