Kazan Federal University students, who were awarded certificates for a study tour to the Palace of Europe, will have opportunity to get an insight into the work of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg this week.
On January 25, during “Student of the Year 2013” annual award ceremony, Farid Mukhametshin announced the Prize of the RT State Council for students showcasing the best achievements in academic, research and public activity. Republican parliament sent three students recommended by the Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies of the Kazan Federal University on a study tour to the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
According to the Head of the republican parliament this educational trip will allow training highly qualified international specialists at the Kazan Federal University.
Students will have a chance to learn more about the work of the Council of Europe, its structure and attend PACE spring session meetings as observers. The intensive program of the future diplomats includes meetings with PACE executives and officials from the youth department of the Council of Europe, European Youth Centre, Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, European Court of Human Rights, the leaders of the French youth and student organizations.
In addition, students will participate in the interactive role-playing game “PACE Youth Model” and attend master classes conducted by experts from the Council of Europe and Russia.
