On January 29, members of the Political council of the Republican public movement “Tatarstan – new century” – “Tatarstan – yana gasyr” gathered for the first meeting in this year under the chairmanship of the head of the Tatarstan parliament Farid Mukhametshin.
Greeting the members of the Political council, Farid Mukhametshin draw a parallel between the goals of the Republican public movement “Tatarstan – new century” set in the beginning of its activity and main themes of the Christmas parliament meeting in the Federation Council that took place on the previous day. “We were forward-looking when set goals for “TNV” in late 1990-s. Creating the movement we proclaimed eternal values that we will bring to the XXI century – human life, family, cultural traditions and customs,” he said.
The agenda of the Political council consisted of six issues – draft of the new version of the Program, amendments to its charter, III Conference of the “TNV” movement, work of the executive council for the previous year and future plans.
