On January 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Parliament Speaker Farid Mukhametshin became honorable guests of the Tatarstan annual awards ceremony “Student of the year - 2013”.
Kazan, Bugulma, Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga and other republican
Universities and secondary schools took part in the competition in 19 nominations. There were 300 applications; more than 1000 students took part in the competition. The awards ceremony took place on Tatiana Day – the Day of Russian students.
Farid Mukhametshin awarded the best “University of the year”. He congratulated the young people and said that republican leadership considers it very important to create conditions for the development of high education. “This is a wonderful holiday of youth, activity and beauty and I am glad for out youth and our future,” he said. “I am sure that the Republic of Tatarstan has an excellent future.”
