Farid Mukhametshin arrived in Strasbourg |

Today Tatarstan Parliament Speaker Farid Mukhametshin arrived in Strasbourg to participate at the 28th plenary session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. The main issues on the agenda are current situation in the World, federal and migration policies in several European countries.

FaridMukhametshin awarded jubilee medals to Great Patriotic War veterans |

On March 3, 2015Tatarstan Parliament Speaker awarded 34 women veterans from all over the republic with a commemorative medal “70 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945”. The solemn ceremony was attended by the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan and parliamentarians.

The Head of the Council of Europe Programme Office in the Russian Federation Peter Zih arrived in Kazan to attend a seminar “On protection of Russian business from corruption”.

Farid Mukhametshin meets with Head of Parliament of Leningrad region |

Today, on January 19, Tatarstan Parliament Speaker Farid Mukhametshin and Head of Leningrad Regional Parliament Sergey Bebenin discussed the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation between the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad region that was signed back in 2010.

Tatar State Philharmonic hosts “International Students Day” festival |

Today the republican students festival “International Students Day” was held in the concert-hall of the Tatar State Philharmonic in Kazan. Chairman of the RT State Council, Chairman of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin, heads of universities, representatives of youth and student organizations, ethno-national diasporas and students attended the opening ceremony.
